FAQs.
The property is around 3 acres. We are in Malnad, the western ghats of Karnataka.
Our property is in a small village called Bomlapura in the Chickmagalur district.
It's built with absolute love and inspiration from the architect Geoffrey Bawa, we designed a tropical modernized colonial style bungalow keeping in mind the geographical landscape of Malnad. With high ceilings, gigantic pillars, athangudi tiles, and most furniture being restored or made by local vendors, we tried our best to be as sustainable as possible. It has four bedrooms and a common living room, a patio and a beautiful center mutham, again, adapted from an old traditional style.
While we were planning the landscape we kept the flora and fauna of the place in mind and planted many fruit and flower trees.
It's a beautiful drive from Bangalore and the road to our property is good except for a slightly rocky road for about 50 meters. It takes 6.5 hours from Bangalore to reach our place by car.
